Captain John Mead was born and raised on Cape Cod. He began training as a mate on charter boats when he was twelve years old. Then in 1975 he joined his uncle, Dick Clark on the Flying Mist where he began working as a mate. He got his Captains license in 1982 and it was the summer of 2004 when John began captaining the Flying Mist full time.
Our first mate will assist and/or teach everyone how to handle the rods & reels. When the fish are landed and unhooked, they are then bled and rinsed with salt water and kept on ice assuring that your catch will be of best quality.
